RC Superintendent Tidbits

Rock County Public Schools are bringing anonymous reporting to the district. We have implemented Safeschools, or Vector Alert, to provide a tip reporting system to our students and families. This reporting system can be utilized from our website homepage or you can download the Vector Alert application on your smartphone. Our district identification code is 2123 and you may be asked to put that in your tip if you are submitting a tip. All tips will be monitored by administration and investigated as per board policy.
Along those same lines, I think it is important to talk about school safety. It is easy to think we are sheltered from the events that are lifechanging for our students, staff, and community but the reality is, it can happen anywhere. It takes all members of the community looking out for the best interest of our kids and this tip reporting system is one more way to open the lines of communication to get kids help when they need it. This tip line does NOT take the place of 9-1-1 so if you are needing immediate responses, please call 9-1-1.
If you would like to see more information about the system, you can see the Vector Solutions letter explaining how to use the system on any of the Rock County School social media sites. This is new to us as a district so there may be some things we need to learn and work through at the beginning but we are excited to make this available to our students and staff.
