RC Superintendent Tidbits

Rock County Public Schools Board of Education recently voted to increase classified staff wages so no employee of Rock County Public Schools will be making less than $15.00 per hour. This change in wages is due to many factors that include but are not limited to inflation, current openings, retaining current staff, and valuing what we are asking them to do on a daily basis. When we talk about our classified staff, we are talking about people who are vital in not only educating our kids but also in taking care of our kids. These are people who have dedicated themselves to do what is best for our kids in our district and I think their value should never be underappreciated. A special thanks goes out to all of our classified staff and to the Rock County Public Schools Board of Education for valuing what they are doing.
As we finish up the first semester of school, we are not hiring for any full-time positions but we are still looking for substitute teachers and substitutes for all classified positions which include custodial, kitchen, clerical, and para-educator positions. If you are interested in subbing in any or all of these capacities, please contact Bobbie or Ginger and we can get you paperwork to be put on the list. If you are interested in a full-time position, please continue to monitor my articles, meeting minutes, and our website/social media to see which positions may be open throughout the school year.
