RC Superintendent Tidbits

We are getting going on our first full week of school at Rock County. It is easier for some than others but the excitement last week was great. I am pretty sure I saw students in the building earlier on August 11, the first day of school this year, than I have at any time since coming to Rock County. The buildings have been spruced up and the students filling the halls remind us of why we put the work in over the summer.
I want to remind the public of our Safeschool Tip Line, which can be found on the home page of our website. I think there was some miscommunication or misunderstanding of what this line is intended for. This line is to report possible bullying or concerning behaviors when it comes to our students. We are hoping it will allow people to report what they are seeing in order to get students in our community the help they need before there is a tragedy.
The reports we received in the 2021-2022 school year were not reports for student support. If you have other concerns with the district and would like to voice them, please come in and visit with administration or the staff member involved. We are all here for the same reason, the success of our students. There are times that our ideas of success and the parents’ ideas are not completely aligned and that is ok. Sometimes, we just need to take a step back and remember that we are all working for the common goal of providing opportunities for our students to be successful.
