RC Superintendent Tidbits
By: Mark Otten
We are in the homestretch of the school year with under two weeks remaining for students. There are still a lot of
things going on at the school such as state assessments, field trips, concerts, and of course track and golf meets.
Things will be hectic in both buildings right up to the point when students go home on Friday, May 12. The
summer brings on a whole different set of challenges for the district but it happens at a bit slower pace.
As we discuss the possible addition of the grade school to the high school campus, one question has been asked of
me. “What would we do with the current grade school building?” This is a great question and I wish I had a great
answer for it. I have had suggestions for the building but I would not say I have the answer to the question, just
yet. I would like to know if anyone in our community has suggested uses for the building, whether it be uses for
the school, community, or private citizens. If you have suggestions or simply have what you see as possible viable
options for uses for the grade school if we would move forward with adding the grade school to the high school
campus, please reach out to me. My email is: [email protected]
