Rock County Public Schools have invited an external team of school improvement experts to review our school improvement procedures and goals. This process is specifically to help us point out the things we are doing that are great as well as giving us suggestions for next actions. I am excited about what we have going in our district and I believe the external team will confirm what we are doing as positives. I need to thank our school improvement team for their efforts in preparing for this review and thanks to the parents and community members who have volunteered to be interviewed by the external team.
Spring activities are under way and some days, the weather feels like they should be. Tommy Klemesrud represented the North Central golf team in Valentine on Monday, March 29 when the high temperature was 77 degrees but the wind blew 50 miles per hour plus. The meet was supposed to be played on Tuesday but the temperatures for Tuesday were not going to be great for high school golf. Our track athletes have had a couple nice days to compete this spring already and we are looking very good in that area.
Prom 2021 was a success. My measurement of success is that we were able to have all aspects of prom how we would normally have them, in person, no masks, and not near enough social distancing on the dance floor. The kids looked sharp as usual and I think some of them even enjoyed the dressing up part of the event. Mrs. Buell and Mrs. Fischer did a great job of planning and preparing and the kids pulled it all together to make for a great night. Thanks to all who helped and thanks to the parents who put together and ran the after prom event. Great fun was had and the kids walked away with some fantastic prizes.
