High School Announcement: Applications from our local American Legion Auxiliary for Cornhusker Girls State have been received and are being given to all junior girls. Completed applications are due back to Mr. Dohrman by Feb. 12th.

Last Thursday, 13 students from grades 3rd-6th grade attended Enrichment Hour after school and learned about laparoscopic surgery! KBR Extension and Rock County Schools High Ability Learner Program worked together to bring this opportunity to the students. The students learned different aspects of laparoscopic surgery and then they got to perform their own laparoscopic surgery. The groups were given a box with a task inside. They had to make surgery tools that they thought would work to complete their given task, such as moving a marble through a maze or moving pom poms from one container to another. They had to complete their task, just as in surgery, without being able to see into the box!
